Magnetic Separator (Over‑band / Suspended Magnetic Separator) is essential pre‑sorting equipment for recycling production lines. It removes ferrous / iron‑based metals from mixed shredded scrap by permanent magnetic attraction. It not only recycles valuable ferrous scrap, but also protects downstream shredders, crushers and eddy‑current separators from iron‑caused damage.

Commonly installed above conveyor belts, SENKOTH magnetic separator adopts high‑performance NdFeB permanent magnet. Available in suspended cross‑belt self‑cleaning type and magnetic drum type. It fits e‑waste, plastic‑metal scrap, aluminum scrap and various solid‑waste recycling projects. Raw Materials & Final Outputs

Raw Materials (Input): Shredded mixed scrap from shredder or crusher: e‑waste fragments, plastic‑metal mixtures, automobile scrap, cable scrap, household appliance fragments and other mixed recyclables.

Finished Products (Output): ‑ Ferrous fraction: iron, steel, bolts, nails and other ferromagnetic scrap for separate recycling ‑ Non‑ferrous mixed material: aluminum, copper, brass, plastic, rubber and other non‑magnetic materials, sent to subsequent sorting processes

Working Principle

Mixed materials are transported under the magnetic separator by conveyor belt. Ferrous metals are instantly attracted by strong magnetic field and stick to the self‑cleaning belt. The circulating belt carries ferrous metals out of magnetic‑field area, and iron scrap falls into dedicated collecting hopper. Non‑magnetic materials pass through normally and flow to next‑stage sorting equipment.

Note: Ferrous metals should be fully removed before feeding into eddy current separator, to avoid magnet‑rotor abrasion.
